Curing the Clay

The nice thing about polymer clay is that it can be cured in your own home oven. To be on the safe side, as far as fumes go....I place my clay baby on a hot pad (make sure it's smooth and light colored, or it may make fuzzies or bleed into the clay) and then I place the hot pad in an oven bag( the small size) like you use for cooking chicken. I preheat the oven and then bake according to the directions on the package of clay. Set the timer and remove and let cool. When completely cool, you can open the bag outside (again, just to be on the safe side fume wise).

Thanks I was always wondering about this step. I need to get some bags tomorrow. May be a stupid question but do you reuse your bags?

Yes, I think it's ok to reuse them about 5 times. Then they start to get a little funny.
